Over the past few years, the Baylor Bears athletic program has been in hot water, to say the least. To be specific, it’s been the football team creating the controversy.
In four years, there’s been an alleged 52 sexual assaults.
Following Baylor’s women’s senior night game over the weekend, head coach Kim Mulkey took the mic and decided to stand up for her university. However, it didn’t go over well to the masses.
“If somebody’s around you and they ever say, ‘I will never send my daughter to Baylor,’ you knock them right in the face.”
[Pause for applause.]
“Because these kids are on this campus. I work here. My daughter went to school here. And it’s the best damn school in America.”

While I don’t believe Mulkey had ill intentions, this came off as being very insensitive to all the victims involved.
After receiving so much heat and backlash, Mulkey clarified her statements.

It’ll be interesting to see how the public treats Mulkey moving forward.
