Beyoncé started Black History Month off with a bang as she shut down the internet with her pregnancy announcement. As the Bey Hive obsessed over Queen Bey bringing not one, but two baby Carters into the world, some fans wondered what that meant for Bey’s scheduled appearance at Coachella.
According to organizers of the huge music festival, they were unaware that Beyoncé was expecting when they announced that she was performing. Goldenvoice, an AEG Live subsidiary, says that they learned of the pregnancy at the same time the rest of the world did. With the April event looming, Goldenvoice reps still don’t know how far along Bey is and have tried to no avail to reach Bey or her reps Thursday morning.
Bey’s first pregnancy wasn’t the smoothest, but a source close to Beyoncé says that she still plans to tear the stage up. With Beyoncé’s dedication to her fans, the idea is not so far-fetched.
The festival was almost sold out before the lineup was even announced, and organizers say it’s not big deal to find a replacement if necessary. I’m sure the Bey Hive begs to differ.
