De’Aaron Fox’s Father On How 2K Helped His Son Become An Elite NBA Prospect

Everyone has won a game of 2K before and immediately after, your friend will say, “you can’t beat me in real life though”.

Well, you can’t say that to De’Aaron Fox unless you’re a professional basketball player and even then, you still may lose. The soon to be lottery pick owes a lot of his game to 2K.

De’Aaron’s father Aaron Fox confirmed it.

“He was one of those kids you didn’t really have to teach much on the basketball court—show him something and he could learn,” Aaron Fox says. “A lot of people don’t believe me, but I tell everyone that that PlayStation helped him get where he is today.

“He’d play that PlayStation, and he could master it in no time. He learned pick-and-rolls. He learned how to roll off a ball screen. I tell kids if they want to learn something about basketball, go put it on pro mode on 2K and let them play.”

While this sounds all nice and dandy, I wouldn’t advise kids to play 2K all day in hopes of becoming the next De’Aaron Fox.
