Camryn Zelinger, a teacher in Riverside, California was arrested for having an inappropriate relationship with a 14-year-old female student at Encore High School for the Arts.
Zelinger has been charged with suspicion of lewd or lascivious acts with a minor and annoying or molesting a child under 18.
Police said their investigation found there had been inappropriate physical contact and communications between Zelinger and the student.
One of the ways they had been communicating was via text message, police said.
Parents said Zelinger, who was recently married, said she would send requests to other teachers to remove the female student out of class so the pair could spend more time together, KTLA reports. – Daily Mail US
No word whether her husband is sticking around but she has been removed from her job at the school.
