Misty Copeland has been an inspiration to us all, especially women of color. Not only is she an amazing ballerina, but she has become the first African American woman principal dancer for the American Ballet theater in their 75 year history. It’s safe to stay she knows a little about working hard for her dreams and defying odds.
When the CEO of Under Armour, Kevin Plank, decided to support Trump, it didn’t resonate with the people representing his brand. First, it was NBA player, Seth Curry, and now Misty. She gave her peace on IG.
It’ll be interesting to see how the relationship continues… or if it they decide to part ways. I’m sure Nike would love to have her on the roster.
