BSO Review: 3 Reasons Why Power Rangers Reboot Works For Me (Video)

When the Power Rangers were first introduced to the small screen in 1993, fans became fully enamored with the diverse cadre of pleather wearing, crime fighting teens who always found a way to defeat the super-monster of the week. Fast forward to 2017, Saban’s Power Rangers are back with the same diversity that made them relatable in the 90’s and rebooted with an edgier, iron-clad fighting armor and style that improves on the original formula.

Opting wisely not to invest all of the film’s creative capital into aesthetics, screenwriter John Gatlin did well in providing story arcs that give audiences a deeper look into the varied backstories of our angsty, super heroes who struggle with autism, sexuality and first-generation citizenship just to name a few that millennials can appreciate.

For card carrying loyalists to the original series the ending may leave you scratching your head but the modern PR has something everyone can enjoy.
