LeBron on Why He’s Not Worried About Seeding in Playoffs

The Cleveland Cavs were blown out by the San Antonio Spurs Monday night, and the Boston Celtics have overtaken the Cavs for top seed in the east. Concerns are surrounding the defending champs and there are legitimate questions as to whether or not they will win the east if they don’t have the #1 seed. LeBron James isn’t concerned about that. ESPN’s Tim McMahon got some quotes post game, and Bron talked about the team’s recent play:

How much does it matter to me? It matters more that we’re playing better basketball than where we’re at, and if that results in us getting the number one seed, getting the number two seed, three or whatever the hell it is, I want us to be playing better basketball. That’s what it comes down to. I’m not worried about anything. I feel like when we’re playing Cavaliers basketball, when we’re playing the type of basketball that we know we’re capable of playing, when we’re at full strength, we can start off on the road. We’ve done it before.

Bron has been to six consecutive NBA Finals. He knows what it takes to win playoff games on the road (see last year’s 3-1 comeback). Of course he isn’t worried about seeding. He knows if the Cavs are playing well, defensively (ahem: Kyrie and Love), it truly doesn’t matter if they have the top seed.
