After 12 days of the streets watching and waiting with baited breath, Nicki Minaj finally responded to Remy Ma’s diss track with new music instead of Instagram posts and Beyoncè videos.
But here’s the catch, it’s one verse on a song that reunites her with Young Money cohorts Drake and Lil Wayne.
The single No Frauds, which features Nicki taking veiled shots and Remy Ma, dropped late Thursday without warning on iTunes. Flowing over a sexy, slow beat that’s perfect for the strip club, Nicki references some of the claims Remy makes in ShEther about her alleged 360 record deal, use of ghostwriters, and jail stint. But even after all that, she still fails to call her out by name.
Here’s the verse:
Tried to drop “Another One,” you was itchin’ to scrap
You exposed your ghostwriter, now you wish you were scrapped
Heard your pussy on “yuck,” I guess you needed a pap
What type of bum bitch shoot a friend over a rap?
What time of mother leave her one son over a stack?
Lil biddy down basic bitch thinkin’ she back
Back to back, oh you mean, back to wack?
“Back to Back”? Me and Drizzy laughed at that
They say numbers don’t matter
But when they discussing the kings
They turn around and say LeBron ain’t got six rings
I never signed a 360, bitch you wild dumb
That’s why Jay ain’t clear his verse for your album
Shanaynay, you a fraud committin’ perjury
I got before and after pictures of your surgery
Ra took you to her dog, but you don’t look like Ra
Left the opertating table, still look like “nah”
Wayne and Drake follow Nicki’s lead adding their own respective verses, but don’t expect them to speak on the beef.
Does it measure up to ShEther? Hardly. But after Remy dropped her weak follow-up track ‘Another One’ this isn’t half bad.
