This has been a turbulent season for the Indiana Pacers & star Paul George.
All recents signs have been pointing to an offseason divorce, and after an ugly 115-114 loss to the Timberwolves; George’s comments don’t do much to stave off the rumors.
George had this to say about the team’s latest loss via Pacers writer Nate Taylor:
Paul George: “There’s no urgency, no sense of urgency, no winning pride. This locker room is just not pissed off enough.”
— Nate Taylor (@ByNateTaylor) March 29, 2017
Paul George: “To be honest, man, I don’t think I got the ball enough down the stretch. I don’t think I got the ball enough.”
— Nate Taylor (@ByNateTaylor) March 29, 2017
These comments scream frustration & obviously aren’t just about this loss, George clearly has been feeling this way for a while now.
Rumors surfaced he’d felt “left out” when the Pacers didn’t include him in on the team’s trade deadline plans, and things haven’t felt right in Indiana ever since.
With the team fighting hard for a spot in the playoffs, a discontent Paul George is the last thing they need. If they do indeed lose him in the offseason; it will make you wonder just how much of an opportunity they squandered at the deadline.
