Love the Seattle Mariners and have an exotic pallet? Then you’ll enjoy the MLB team’s latest stadium offering, toasted grasshoppers.
According to Sports Illustrated the new snack, deep fried and served with chili lime salt, costs $4 a cup and will be offered at all home games this season.
“They are a one-of-a-kind snack that the fans will really love—either on a taco or on their own,” Steve Dominguez, Centerplate general manager at Safeco Field, told ESPN’s Darren Rovell. “
A big departure from the usual foot long hotdogs and peanuts. The hoppers are reportedly loaded with protein, low on fat but still taste good with beer.
If you’re in the stadium and try them out, let us know what you think.
