If Trevone Boykin couldn’t play at all, chances are he would’ve been out of the league…but after this he might be on his way now.
It’s being reported Boykin has been arrested in Texas AGAIN, for the 2nd time in as many weeks, this time for violating his probation in connection to that drunken (he wasn’t driving) car crash we reported on in which he was arrested for weed.
Via TMZ:
We’ve learned a warrant was issued for his arrest earlier this week because prosecutors believe his March arrest constitutes a violation of his probation.
Boykin was taken into custody at 1:35 PM on Thursday and released a few hours later on $2,500 bond. He’ll be arraigned on May 3.
He’s facing up to a year in jail and a $4,000 fine.
Very interesting to see him smiling in his mugshot after being arrested again and possibly flubbing away his NFL career. Backup QBs are everywhere, and you can be sure a team would rather go pluck one out of the pool than deal with distractions from one on the team.
Maybe he knows something we don’t.
