Tony Romo to Suit Up for Mavericks in Season Finale

Here’s hoping Romo gets the opportunity to get a few buckets as well.

Mark Cuban knows how to market his team, so what better way to bring out the Dallas fans, then by having a recently retired Cowboys legend announcing his retirement.

A huge basketball fan — Tony Romo will suit up for the Dallas Mavericks in their season finale according to Marc Stein of ESPN.com.

According to Stein, Romo will be a “Maverick for a day” and sit on the bench in the team’s uniform.

Stein reports that when Mavericks owner Mark Cuban said over the past week that the club would be looking to add “a pass-first point guard” before playing out the season’s final five days — he was referring to the Cowboys all-time leading passer.

Kudos to Cuban.
