Maybe the Atlanta Hawks thought this was the year they would finally earn the respect of the rest of the NBA. They had added Dwight Howard to their roster, moved Dennis Shroeder to starter and they still had the silent but deadly Paul Millsap.
Well, they thought wrong. The Hawks faced the Wizards in the first round of the playoffs, and though they put up a good 6-game fight, the Wizards proved too much for them.
After the game, Wizards stars John Wall and Bradley Beal threw some shots at the Hawks with a comment as to why they eliminated them from the playoffs.
John Wall: "I told them I was going to get 35 or more & we were going to win. And we did that."
Bradley Beal: "For the culture." pic.twitter.com/ndZLP8gDr8

For the culture though? Funny but really it’s kind of true. Sorry Hawks fans.
