A disagreement between members of a church congregation, over the future of their current pastor, erupted into a full-fledged brawl on Monday.
According to the Telegraph, tension between members of the Greater Bellevue Baptist Church in Macon, Georgia boiled over during a church meeting on whether the current pastor David Stephens would remain at the church. The disagreement continued until members escalated into a battle royal with chairs and punches flying.
Anticipating friction before the vote, a Country sheriff was called in to witness the proceedings but soon needed back-up once the melee got underway.
The fight reportedly ended at the blow of a whistle. Everyone left the church and the fight dissipated.
