LaVar Ball is known as a mouthy dad, but is it possible that all of it is a ploy and he’s really an average dad?
According to UCLA head coach, Steve Alford, Ball never meddled with his son during his time at UCLA,
Steve Alford didn’t hesitate when asked about Lonzo Ball’s enthusiastic and controversial father, LaVar. Was LaVar Ball around the team much? “Zero,” Alford said. Was he ever at practice? “Never at practice,” Alford said. “Never at practice; never called me.” Did he ever try to meddle in your coaching? “Never,” Alford said.
Never? Not even a little? Maybe LaVar is only doing all this showcasing for sells and marketing…. Right? But there is one person who looks to be Team Ball, Lakers owner, Jeanie Buss,
