An investigation is underway in Oklahoma after a woman’s body was found in a Wal-Mart bathroom three days after she was spotted on surveillance video entering the store.
According to KJRH in Tulsa, Katherine Caraway first entered the Sand Springs Wal-Mart store three days prior to being found at approximately 6PM according to surveillance video. An employee attempted to use the bathroom but found the door locked and placed an out-of-order sign on the outside. Days later employees unlocked the restroom and found her body.
Wal-Mart issued the following statement after the incident:
“We are saddened by this. We don’t know all the facts right now, but we are working closely with local law enforcement to provide what information we have that might be useful. Because this is an ongoing investigation, we must refer you to them for additional information.”
Authorities do not suspect foul play in Caraway’s death.
