NBA 2K18 has just revealed who will be the new cover athlete.
Kyrie Irving is the new face of the NBA 2K series. Irving, 25, will grace the cover of NBA 2K18, the gaming franchise announced the news Thursday via Twitter. In a heartfelt statement Irving said:
“It is well known that I’m an avid player of this series and I am honored to be the cover athlete of NBA 2K18,”. “It’s surreal to be featured on the cover and I can’t wait to dominate on the virtual court with all of my fans this fall.”
With Irving averaging 25.2 points and 5.8 assists for Cleveland this season, I’m sure this honor is only motivation to go harder. The announcement comes the same day as Game 1 of the NBA Finals.
NBA 2K18 is slated to release Sept. 15 for the PC, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, Xbox One and the Nintendo Switch. Priced at $59.99 game upon it’s September 15 pre-order date.
