When it was time for young Avery Leilani to be dropped off for her freshman year at Texas State University, I’m sure she was thinking her mom would be a teary-eyed parent, riding the emotional rollercoaster of letting her baby girl go begin her journey to adulthood.
Instead, Leilani received this text just after parting ways with mom on campus:
