As soon as it was announced that Allen Iverson would be participating in the Big 3 League as a player/coach, fans of “The Answer” rushed to check the schedule in anticipation of seeing the living legend hit the hardwood for the first time in 7 years.
The Big 3 was in Charlotte, NC on Sunday where Iverson now resides. After playing limited minutes in the league’s first two stops, Iverson was asked about his level of participation as a player. He responded by saying that his fans should not come to the games expecting to see “The Answer” citing that Father Time has taken his toll and he’s just here to have fun and give fans a blast of the past.
Iverson’s 3’s Company team fell 45-50 to Mike Bibby and the Ghost Ballers. Iverson played 11 minutes of the 83 minute game and logged 2 points on 1-4 shooting.
