The HEAT have managed to keep the pieces of their team that went 30-11 after the All Star Break, after starting the season 11-30. The latest signing is forward James Johnson.
Free agent James Johnson has agreed to the framework of a four-year deal to stay with the Miami Heat, league sources tell ESPN.

Johnson proved to be an efficient go-to scorer for the HEAT. Johnson also is able to guard every position on the floor, something that HEAT fans hadn’t seen since LeBron James.
The HEAT feel they’re poised to compete heavily in the Eastern Conference and give the Cavs a run for their money in the ECF. Coming off a second half of the season where they had the best record in the NBA, the belief in themselves and each other has swelled. The confidence the guys will feel by seeing so many familiar faces in the locker room coming off a hectic free agency will also contribute.
Erik Spoelstra already had them believing last season. No reason why that belief wouldn’t continue into 2017-18.
