Not too many players are willing to talk about Colin Kaepernick’s situation with the NFL. Former player Tony Romo offered his opinion on the matter and what he had to say, is quite interesting.
“Colin Kaepernick is good enough to be on an NFL roster-there’s no question,” is how Tony Romo started this interview. You can tell that Romo was being cautious with how he spoke about this topic but he remained neutral. He also mentioned that Kaepernick could be seen as a distraction.
“For a backup, they don’t want a backup to be a distraction in any capacity. He’s also put himself in a very unique spot.”
There’s not question that Kaepernick’s strength as a quarterback has been proved. The biggest “wow” moment was Jay Cutler landing on a team roster before him. Aaron Rodgers also came out and straight up said that Kaepernick’s protests are keeping him from having a job. One can only hope that more players show solidarity.
