Details on Colts Preparing For The Worst & Trading for a QB a Week Before Season Starts

First, word emerges that Colts coaches have no idea how well injured star QB Andrew Luck can throw, then no official timeline for his return was given, & now; it appears they’re preparing as if Luck won’t be ready for the start of the season.

All bad.

The Patriots have sent 3rd string QB Jacoby Brissett to Indianapolis for WR Phillip Dorsett.

Brissett started two games for the Patriots last season with Tom Brady suspended & Jimmy Garoppolo out with injury. He went 1-1 beating the Houston Texas 27-0 & losing to the Buffalo Bills 16-0.

Dorsett, a former Colts first round pick who has struggled in his young career, had only 51 receptions for 753 yards & 2 TDs in his two years with the team. However, we know how the Patriots have a knack for digging in other team’s trash heaps & getting more out of players than they’d shown before, or after playing there.

It seems the Patriots added to an already vast array of weapons (even with the loss of star WR Julian Edleman), & the Colts are preparing for life without their all-world QB they’ve done a horrible job of protecting since he got there.
