Count Manny Pacquiao among those bewildered by judge Adalaide Byrd’s scorecard in Saturday night’s Canelo v GGG fight. Byrd scored the bout 118-110 in favor of Canelo, which even Canelo fans found ridiculous.
This was an egregious card from the judge and fans and boxing media erupted. This is part of the problem boxing has in the states. Subjective scorecards makes the casual fan skeptical of the legitimacy of the sport. Last night’s fight was a good one and it’s a shame this is the major talking point.
Pacquiao joined in on the trolling via Twitter referencing his own loss to Jeff Horn in Australia which was seen as one of the more egregious decisions in recent memory.
