Time heals all wounds. Former Celtics teammates Paul Pierce and Ray Allen got together Saturday night at the Shanghai Oriental Sports Center. Pierce took to Instagram to share the picture with the hashtag #burythehatchet.
As you know the Celtics felt some type of way when Allen left the team in 2012 as a free agent to join their rivals, the Miami Heat. Never mind the fact that the Celtics had been trying to trade Ray since 2010.
His former teammates, Kevin Garnett and Rajon Rondo, took it as a form of betrayal and have sent subtle and not so subtle shots at Allen through the media over the years. But it appears Pierce is ready to forgive and forget. Next year marks the 10 year anniversary of the 2008 championship Celtics team. Despite what has transpired since, that group of guys did something special and should come together to celebrate.
