If it was up to one Texas A&M regent member, Kevin Sumlin would have been fired on the tarmac at LAX after his Aggies coughed up a 34 point second half lead against UCLA.
Houston attorney Tony Buzbee took to Facebook Sunday after the Aggies blew a 34-point lead to lose 45-44 to the Bruins — writing that the “manipulative” Sumlin “should be fired” after another epic collapse.
Buzbee, a Houston-based attorney, unleashed a 200-word post — saying that Sumlin “can’t coach the big games” and should be fired immediately.
Sumlin — who is one of college footballs highest paid coaches at $5 million per year — has two years remaining on his contract and is 44-22 at A&M yet only 21-19 in SEC play.
In Sumlin’s defense — plays like the missed interception by cornerback Deshawn Capers-Smith — who let a Josh Rosen pass sail right through his hands to Darren Andrews for a 42-yard touchdown strike arent’ on the coach, but the blames rolls down hill as well.
