Chuck Liddell, Rampage Jackson and other sports and entertainment luminaries dotted the red carpet at the 6th annual Smash Global event in Hollywood benefitting wide spread anti-bullying efforts. Founded by former professional mixed martial artist and entrepreneur Steve “Hulk Smash” Orosco, SMASH Global is redefining the spectator experience in the MMA.
“I believe there is a direct correlation between elite athletes and successful people, and I’m building a bridge between the two with SMASH Global.”
Taking his turn on the red carpet 2017 Smash Global Icon Award recipient, and UFC Hall-of-Fame inductee, Chuck Liddell discussed the importance of sharing an anti-bullying message world-wide.
“I used to fight a lot in the streets. I spent a lot of time protecting people and I can’t stand people picking on people. I’ve stepped in a lot for people in my life. If a guy wants to fight someone, I’d say ‘no you can fight me instead.”
Capping off the event, four-MMA style events inside the steel cage in the center of the ballroom while festive attendees cheered on to close the night.
With the rousing success of this year’s event, Orosco looks forward to producing Smash Global for many years to come. For additional red carpet interviews, flip the page.
