The NFL trade window is set to close in a couple hours and the Pittsburgh Steelers have an update on disgruntled wide receiver Martavis Bryant. According to ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler, the Steelers have told Bryant he is a part of their week 10 plans. Head coach Mike Tomlin has consistently stated that Bryant was not available via trade and it looks as though the Steelers are holding firm.
This makes sense for the Steelers. Bryant is an asset they were likely not to get equal value for in a trade. Plus the team has invested considerable time and resources in Bryant. Also, the Steelers are in pole position in the AFC as we hit the halfway point of the season. If they plan on making a serious playoff run, they’ll need all available hands on deck.
