I never knew Comic Con was such a big deal. If you aren’t apart of the comic world, you really miss out on an alternate universe. I have been in comics since I was a little girl; I wasn’t a die hard fan like some, but X-Men was my favorite, I grew up wanting to be Rogue (Gave me an easy excuse for people not to touch me). I would run around in my grandmother’s gray wig with gloves on and pretend to be apart of Charles Xavier’s crew. I wasn’t aware that this was cosplay and I definitely didn’t know that people all over the world dressed up like me.
When viewing the wonderful world of Comic con, an alternate universe isn’t an understatement. You become apart of a world filled with imagination and color. People from all walks of life come together and celebrate books, cartoons and movies. Some of TV’s favorite characters appear for signings and even get into characters themselves. New York Comic Con was on display this year at the Jatvis center, not too far from Hell’s Kitchen (yes, I was looking for Daredevil in the shadows) and it was a sold out affair.
From “Walking Dead” to “Batman: Bad Blood”, everything comic came alive. Now while favorites aren’t supposed to happen, I absolutely loved “Adult Swim: Robot Chicken” panel which starred some of “Robot Chicken” finest Seth Green, Breckin Meyer and Macaulay “Gift to the world” Culkin (yes, that’s how he was introduced). The panel was silly the entire time; my sides hurt so much from laughing. This panel held no punches and talked about everything from Russia to Pretty Little Liars. Seth Green made the hilarious comment about Macaulay Culkin making his yearly appearance to prove his not dead (which Breckin Meyer said they would’ve still brought him dead lol). After the panel got the chance to talk about the new season of “Robot Chicken”, it was the fans turn to ask a question and one familiar fan had the cast stumped. Much of the crowd at the Adult Swim panel’s remained the same, so everyone knew who the French Canadian fan was except the cast. Catch their reactions to him below and yes, they were this hilarious the entire time:

No one knows if the French Canadian guy was a joke or not, but he made his appearances through out the day.
Outside of some of the panels, as said in the beginning, cosplay was amazing. From little kids to older adults, photos do no justice to the time and creative effort people gave. Check out some of the best cosplay photos!

I have no idea how San Diego matches up with New York, but Im sure its a tough race. The Comic Con is not over until Sunday, but word around town is there are still a few more surprises left; Marvel being one of them…
If anything pops back up, I’ll be sure to post. So make sure you check back to BSO for all Comic Con news!
