ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported on Sunday NFL Countdown that teams have contacted the Lions and inquired about acquiring the rights to retired all pro wide receiver, Calvin Johnson. With the NFL’s trade deadline approaching on Tuesday, teams are looking to bolster their playoff chances and/or solidify their contender status.
Megatron has not played football since the 2015 season and has indicated on several occasions that he is not returning to the game. But the Lions have instructed interested teams to reach out to the retired receiver’s agent and determine what might be a possibility.
