Terelle Pryor got into a shouting match with some Chiefs fans after losing on Monday Night Football, and he capped it off by flipping them off. The middle finger to fans caught on camera is never a good look, but there is much more than meets the eye in this scenario.
According Prior’s Instagram account, Chiefs fans repeatedly called him a nigger during the game, and he had enough and responded. He stated that this is why players are kneeling, but didn’t do so because it was a team decision not to kneel on Monday Night Football. Racism in the stands has always been a problem for the league, and the anthem protests are just ratcheting up the toxic sentiment.
