This was a surprising morning for a few WWE superstars. WWE announced that they’ve released Summer Rae, Darren Young and Emma.
BREAKING NEWS: WWE has come to terms on the releases of WWE Superstars Darren Young and Summer Rae. https://t.co/CU8R144QG2

Summer Rae and Darren Young have been off TV for a while. Darren Young has been great WWE’s Be A Star Campaign. He’s been bullied and he’s part of the LGBTQ community, so he has great reach with kids.
Summer Rae has been off TV and based on her instagram it looks like she’s been moving on. Summer Rae probably seen this coming but it’s still rather annoying because she had major potential.
The most puzzling of these cuts is Emma. Emma just had a high profile program with Asuka and then WWE cuts her? She’s been insanely misused since she came back onto the main roster from NXT. WWE had no clue what to do with her but in the last 6 weeks or so, they were using her more.
However, maybe they all asked to be released. We don’t know, but they’ll do great in their next chapter.
