New York Giants Defensive End Olivier Vernon knelt during the Giants’ 20-10 loss to the Redskins on Thanksgiving night and it triggered a few more white supremacists about protesting racial injustices in America, including Donald Trump.
Trump took to Twitter this morning to blast Vernon and NFL commissioner Roger Goodell. He went on to say that players are still disrespecting the national anthem and that the league has lost control of its players when even though this has been about players protesting racial inequality and black people being killed by police for no reason.
Players will never back down from their stances on racial injustices but it will be interesting to see what the NFL does moving forward if the protests continue. Goodell recently came out saying that there will be no punishment for kneeling during the anthem.
Can you believe that the disrespect for our Country, our Flag, our Anthem continues without penalty to the players. The Commissioner has lost control of the hemorrhaging league. Players are the boss! https://t.co/udXP5MR8BC
