In the grand scheme of things it looks like LiAngelo and two of his UCLA teammates are going to get off light.
They were looking at 10 years in jail, but according to Bleacher Report the punishment will likely just be a couple of weeks at the hotel.
UCLA basketball players LiAngelo Ball, Jalen Hill and Cody Riley reportedly could be forced to serve 20 days of house arrest and receive permanent banishment from China after being arrested for stealing Tuesday in Hangzhou.
On Thursday, Ken Sugiura of the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported the players, who were released on bail Wednesday, might serve the punishment at the Hyatt Regency Hangzhou, the hotel where UCLA and Georgia Tech players stayed ahead of their game Saturday (Friday night U.S. time) in Shanghai.
They might miss Thanksgiving, but better than being in Chinese prison.
