Jusuf Nurkic doesn’t understand that you can be an all-world social media standout, as well as an NBA All-Star.
The Blazers big man went head to head with Joel Embiid on Thursday night, but after his teams’ comeback win over the 76ers at home tried his best to seem unimpressed.
following the Blazers’ 114-110 come from behind win over the Sixers on Thursday night — Nurkic fired off this shot about Embiid to NBC Sports Northwest:
“He tries to be more famous than a player,” Nurkic said of Embiid, who had 29 points and nine boards.
“I respect him. He’s a good player. He’s not about tough. He’s a skill player, who is getting tired it looks like. When you play defense on him and play offense on him and attack him, he gets tired more.”
In what seems like an outing both players could be proud of — Embiid finished with 29 points and nine rebounds, while Nurkic dropped 21 points and 12 boards for the victor.
Nurkic didn’t have that opinion when The Process dropped 28 points and 12 rebounds in Philly’s 101-81 victory over Portland Nov. 22.
