New York authorities are searching for a reckless driver that helped a 71-year-old woman he hit but provided fake contact information to.
ABC 7 News New York reports that Sonya Nasimova was struck as she walked on a Sheepshead Bay corner on December 7th when the unidentified driver struck her. Video from the scene shows the driver’s son, who was also in the car, helping her into a building lobby and dropping her off without calling police or emergency responders. In addition, the driver reportedly provided the victim with a false phone number and license plate number.
Nasimova suffered a broken leg and injured shoulder as a result of the crash is expected to be in a knee brace for the next two months.
Authorities are asking for the public’s help in locating the duo.
