San Antonio Spurs’ Head Coach Gregg Popovich has always been one to give back to the community along with being vocal about issues plaguing our country. He’s made an emphasis on why the NBA community needs to give back to people who need it the most as opposed to players and coaches focusing on themselves.
Per Michael C. Wright of ESPN,
“We’re rich as hell and we don’t need it all, and other people need it,” said Popovich. Then, you’re an ass if you don’t give it. Pretty simple.”
Coach Pop definitely knows the meaning of the holidays and why people such as NBA players who are able to help others during these times must make contributions. Instead of buying that new Rolls Royce, it would be better to spend that check on a family who needs to make ends meet.
