Possible Destinations For Georgia Backup QB Jacob Eason

The hype was real in 2016 for incoming freshman QB Jacob Eason at Georgia. His freshman year didn’t meet expectations as the Bulldogs finished 8-5.  In 2017, Eason would end up losing his starting role to Jake Fromm due to injury. Fromm has been exceptional for the Dawgs in 2017 as he has his team playing in the College Football Playoff On New Year’s Day.

Eason may be out of Athens soon as his NFL stock will dimish if he doesn’t start. Per Bleacher Report, some sources close to Eason say that he’s headed to the Pac 12.  One team is the Washington Huskies and this would make the most sense due to that being his hometown team. Others suggest Oregon and UCLA. Miami is also a possibility as former Georgia Head Coach Mark Richt is now there. He recruited Eason to UGA in 2015.

Coming into UGA, Eason was regarded as the savior of possibly bringing the Bulldogs a national championship. Head Coach Kirby Smart had the right blueprint to develop him into one of the top quarterbacks in the nation but injury helped that grown swing in Fromm’s direction. Now, fans have embraced the Fromm era as Eason may head out west to rebuild his NFL stock again.
