The beef between Geno Smith and Rex Ryan is alive and thriving.
Rex Ryan, who coached the Jets when Smith was the starting QB, pretty much torched Smith last week when he was named the starter for the Giants over Eli Manning. The present ESPN analyst and commentator said that starting Smith was a “slap in the face” and that he wouldn’t want him as his quarterback.
Smith fired back via the New York Post saying:
Not one to back down from a fight, Ryan shot back at Geno by comparing his chin to a marshmallow during Sunday NFL Countdown. “This might be Geno’s chin…that chin’s a little soft,” said Ryan; prompting Randy Moss to get up from his seat.
Smith missed a large part of the 2015 season when then teammate IK Enemkpali sucker punched him, breaking his jaw. Smith was begin the season as the starter for the Jets.
While Smith has yet to respond to Ryan’s latest diss, former Giants kicker Lawrence Tynes didn’t like it one bit and took to Twitter to share his feelings.
Rex Ryan just referred to Geno Smiths chin as a marshmallow on ESPN. Really? Grow up and leave that man alone. Geno is in the league and you are blowing smoke out your pie hole in a studio. #GMEN

We will most likely have to wait until after the Giants game against the Cowboys before we get Geno’s response.
In the meantime, flip the page to watch Ryan’s cringe-worthy jab.
