I’m a proud HOV stan, so this is pure entertainment for me.
You can’t blame these youngins for not knowing the impact of Jay’s 90s-early 2000s run. Money, Cash, Hoes probably sounds remedial; if you’re judging the song by the title alone. But, if you listen to the song–you see Jay is talking that talk (as usual) & him getting the energy of prime-DMX; along with that heavy Dynasty sound from Memphis Bleek & Beans was as exciting as anything that was going on in NY music at the time.

Kodak seems to be taking some shots (?) at the Jigga Man, insinuating his 90s hit can’t measure up to Black’s new hotness:
Not terrible lyrics from young Kodak, but he probably would’ve been more accurate had he not referred to one of the biggest rap songs of the 90s as “HOPSCOTCH SHIT”.
