Andre Drummond’s selection to the 2018 NBA All-Star game as a replacement for the John Wall has not only come under some amount of criticism per Bill Difillipo, it has also drawn out a reaction from two players who feel that they should have been selected ahead of the Detriot Pistons center after the Washington Wizards point guard forfeited his spot due to injury.
Philadelphia 76ers Ben Simmons and Boston Celtics Jaylen Brown took a dig at Drummond’s selection via Twitter. The rookie of the year contender tweeted out a laughing emoji right after the announcement about Drummond getting called up but could it have been because of a South Park episode he was watching? What about the timing, was it a coincidence?
Jaylen Brown tweeted not one but three thinking emojis, possibly to question how Drummond got picked for All-Star game over him. Brown was also endorsed by Draymond Green, who felt the Celtics wing should’ve got picked for Team LeBron.
