The new year is starting off on a low note for Tampa Bay Bucs safety T.J. Ward after an October incident involving officers responding to his home for a tripped burglar alarm ended with him being arrested months later for possession.
TMZ Sports obtained court documents detailing an incident where cops responded to an active intrusion alarm at Ward’s home in Florida. A woman inside the home at the time invited officers in to verify everything was safe and that’s when they noticed the marijuana, approximately 99.9 grams, on the table.
Despite the incident occurring months ago, a warrant for his arrest on charges for felony marijuana materialized on Wednesday.
Ward has already been released after paying his own bond of $2500. Ward and the Tampa Bay organization have yet to comment.
