When Isaiah Thomas’s tribute video was moved to Feb. 11th, Paul Pierce wasn’t happy about it. That was a night for Pierce to be honored by the Celtics and no one else.
Pierce was on ESPN’s The Jump and here’s what he said,
“I’m not saying Isaiah shouldn’t get a tribute video. … But on February 11, the night I get my jersey retired, I’m not sure I want to look up at the Jumbotron and see Isaiah highlights”
He was salty but he was keeping it cool. So, IT took it upon himself to tweet about the Celtics not having to do a tribute video for him.
IT gave the Celtics an easy out. Imagine the cameras on Pierce’s face as they were playing IT’s tribute video?
