LaMelo and LiAngelo Ball are set to make their Lithuanian debut for Prienu Vytautas on January 9 against Tsmoki-Minsk. This is a Baltic League game. Vytautas Head Coach Virginijus Seskus detailed how much the Ball brothers would play despite their injuries.
Per ESPN.com’s Jeff Goodman, an interpreter told him that Seskus plans to play them a lot as he sees them as pieces that could help them contend.
“They are young, but I can promise that they will play a lot and I hope we will help them to get better and they will help us to win more games. We are waiting for them. Don’t worry, they will play.”
Due to the minor injuries that the Ball brothers are experiencing though, they will play in the Lithuanian league and lower-level Baltic league to help them develop quickly.
Despite the Ball brothers being a big name for his team, Seskus said that performance will also play a role in how much they play.
“They will play, but how many minutes it depends how they will play in the game. But still they will play, and they will also play in the Lithuanian league.” (ESPN.com’s Per Jeff Goodman)
