Russell Westbrook has easily become my favorite player since the retirement of Kobe Bryant. The faith he has in his abilities and the willingness to win by any means necessary is something rarely found in players these days, and I hope it’s contagious amongst his teammates.
Paul George, one of Russ’ teammates, is a free agent this summer, and of course, the Thunder wants to keep him. But what would Russ say to George to keep him?
“Sales pitch gonna be when we win a championship,” Westbrook said Wednesday, per NBC Los Angeles’ Shahan Ahmed. “Beat that pitch.”
Thunder are on the cusp of becoming a championship team, with a great draft and a couple fresh players, I don’t think anyone can beat Russ’ pitch.
