LeBron James And Stephen Curry got on a conference call today to select their teams for the NBA All-Star Game. 2018 will will do away with the traditional format of the Eastern vs Western Conference.
James clearly has the advantage as captain of his team with a very dominant roster compared to Curry’s. James’ team consists of Kyrie Irving, Kevin Durant, Anthony Davis, DeMarcus Cousins, Russell Westbrook, Kristaps Porzingis, LaMarcus Aldridge, Kevin Love, John Wall, Victor Oladipo, and Bradley Beal. Team Curry received James Harden, DeMar DeRozan, Giannis Anteokounmpo, Joel Embiid, Klay Thompson, Al Horford, Draymond Green, Jimmy Butler, Damian Lillard, Karl Anthony-Towns, and Kyle Lowry.
One purpose of this new all-star game format is to help players deserving of the selection an opportunity without being snubbed. James and Curry also had opportunities to select their fellow teammates. James was able to get a huge steal though by selecing Curry’s teammate Kevin Durant.
