It’s the best of times and the worst of times for the Migos, and this week its Quavo that finds himself on the downside of fame.
Early February, TMZ reported that the Migos frontman was involved in an altercation with Eric the Jeweler after being confronted about a $10,000 debt that belongs to group mate Offset. According to reports, Eric was jumped by Quavo and another man.
We’re told Eric reached out to Offset multiple times about settling the debt, but was given the run-around. Then, when he bumped into Quavo early Monday morning at 1Oak, that’s allegedly when the fight broke out. The jeweler suffered a swollen cheek, bloody nose and a bump on his head.
NYPD officials now tell TMZ they have enough evidence to proceed with a warrant for Quavo’s arrest.
NYPD detectives have gotten in contact with the Migos rapper’s attorney, Drew Findling, informing him they have enough evidence to arrest Quavo. We’re told an arrest warrant hasn’t been issued but it’s only a matter of time.
Quavo and his manager Findling maintain his innocence in the incident.
