Add Faizon Love to the list of comedians less than impressed with Dave Chappelle’s return to the forefront of comedy. Not only does he believe Chappelle should not be at the head of the line, a place that should be held by people like Kevin Hart, he questions why Netflix is paying a king’s ransom to keep in there.
According to Okayplayer, Love pulled no punches during his appearance on Sway in the Morning stating that Chappelle is no king of comedy, Kevin Hart is better, and the only parts of Chappelle show that was funny involved the late Charlie Murphy.
“He’s talented but is he $40 million worth?” he asked. “They were callin’ this n***a the king. Of what?”
Adding to that, Love said that Chappelle’s Show was only good because of Charlie Murphy, as well as declared Kevin Hart better than Chappelle.
“Kevin Hart is homegrown, creative by himself,” he said. “Dave Chappelle is manufactured in Hollywood. He’s never done anything besides the show that was fire.”
