With the eyes of the sporting world fixed on Los Angeles and the All-Star Weekend festivities, athletes are using the opportunity not only to spend time with their peers and fans but to voice their opinions on social activism and the wave of media figures using racist rhetoric for ratings.
At Saturday’s All-Star media day, BSO chief Robert Littal asked Kevin Durant if he see’s himself as a leader as he continues to emerge as an active voice in the current wave of social activism to which Durant responded by stressing the importance of using your voice because there are a lot of “fake as sh*t” people out there.
