Kevin Durant Weighs In On NCAA Needing To Pay Players; If He Would’ve Left For NBA After High School

The NCAA is in hot water right now after a Yahoo Sports report by Pat Forde and Pete Thamel highlighting programs and players who have received illegal benefits. Some of the schools listed are Duke, Michigan State, North Carolina, and Kentucky. NBA Draft prospects Collin Sexton and Wendell Carter were also included in the investigation.

Kevin Durant offered his thoughts on college players being paid and he is all for it. Durant told Marc J. Spears of The Undefeated that there is “hypocritical money talk” in sports. In regards to him leaving for the NBA after high school if allowed, he would’ve done so due to helping his family become financially secure as soon as possible.
