“Black Panther” has been highly anticipated since it was announced. The star-studded cast and crew are “Black Excellence” personified; and that more than ruffles the feathers of racists that are trying to sabotage the movie’s success.
After tampering with the movie’s “Rotten Tomatoes” rating was unsuccessful, trolls have stooped to using fake photos to make it appear that black people are being violent at “Black Panther” showings.
Social media trolls have been posting images of assault victims.
In one image, a user shared an actual photo of former White House staffer Rob Porter’s ex-wife sporting a black eye with the caption: “Went to the #BlackPanther premier tonight and my wife was assaulted. Three black women approached us and one said ‘This movie ain’t for you white b****’ and then attacked her. Security escorted us to the parking lot and we left. We just wanted to see a movie.”
The fake posts are using pictures of actual assault victims although the attacks span a number of years and none of them are at the hands of “Black Panther” patrons. One Tweeter went so far as to use a photograph of the ex-wife of White House staffer Rob Porter.
Twitter user Trapa Fasa has been calling out the fake posts.
